Couples Counselling and Therapy

I offer couple counselling including same sex couples.

Couples therapy can help to build awareness and understand your own process to grow yourself to improve your relationship. Therapy can help clarify commitment decisions, navigate relationship challenges, improve communication, achieve richer, deeper, more vibrant connections to have more closeness and intimacy, Also to achieve the “best” ending to your relationship. Learning to make and maintain  better relationships requires patience, honesty and lots of effort.

What you are both doing is really important and “good things take time”. This is an opportunity to learn about yourself, practice new skills and do better in your relationship.

What You Can Expect

I will listen equally to both of you and find out exactly what your hopes are. Based on what you want, I usually set you some practice of skills/communication in between counselling sessions. We will work as a team with me regularly asking you for feedback to maximise the effectiveness of the couple counselling.

We can book 1 hour sessions or 1.5 hour sessions. Couples make more progress attending regularly, putting effort into their relationship and attending 1.5 hour sessions.

You can expect change to happen in the first four counselling sessions and in sessions four to eight deepening and consolidating changes made.
